Our story · Muskegon, Michigan

AN OPERATOR'S INSTINCT. AN INVENTOR'S MIND.

Founded by Rick Weihl, Sno-Power brings practical snow-removal experience and a drive to improve equipment together in one place: Muskegon, Michigan.

Meet the founder

RICK WEIHL.

An equipment innovator with roots in the work itself.

Rick's background in landscaping shaped the way he approaches design: start with a problem an operator knows, then find a better way to solve it. His Hurricane Blo-Vac brought that thinking to debris removal, giving operators a stand-on blower with directional airflow.

That same practical mindset runs through Sno-Power. Rick's inventions include an adaptable hitch system and plow assemblies, with U.S. patents naming him as the inventor. His focus is on the details that matter during a storm: how the blade meets the pavement, how the equipment handles obstacles, and how it fits the truck.

GOOD IDEAS
GO TO WORK.

01 / THE HURRICANE BLO-VAC

A better way to move debris.

Rick developed the Hurricane Blo-Vac after wanting a blower that could change airflow direction. Golfdom featured his invention at its 2013 Summit, where golf-course professionals saw the machine in action.

02 / A MILESTONE IN 2018

Hurricane's next chapter.

In 2018, Briggs & Stratton acquired assets of Hurricane, Inc., including its stand-on blower product line. The acquisition brought Hurricane's approach to debris removal into a wider commercial equipment portfolio.

03 / THE SNO-POWER APPROACH

Keep questioning the usual.

Patented hitch and plow designs carry that problem-solving approach into snow removal. The goal stays practical: equipment designed around the operator, the truck, and the surface being cleared.
